The Sherwood Forest Perambulations 2015

The Sherwood Forest Perambulations 2015
Stop press: Sian of Land Lies Fallow is applying through HLF's Young Roots Scheme, in order to gain funding to inspire young people to get on board the perambulations with legend gathering, oral history gathering, green education and digital mapping.  If you'd like to be involved or know someone who would, contact us as soon as possible.  Please read the following:

Notts Writer, Dave Wood last walked the old boundary of Sherwood Forest in 2011; previous to that, it was perambulated well over 300 hundred years ago, though Dave wasn't there at the time.
Sian Stammers of Land Lies Fallow CIC, is applying for  Heritage Lottery Funding for a revisit of the ancient circuitous walk through city, park, town, park, forest, village and urban areas.  Dave will be inviting the public to walk with him on this stunning, historical adventure.  Activities will be fun and free with a heritage slant.  The project will be in sections, over the course of a year – beginning 2015. Walks will be from approximately 2 miles to 11.
The project will include how to run a spoken history interview, workshops provided by archeologists as well as mapping the walk with photography, audio, sound and digital media.   There's plenty to do; all ages are welcome. Don't forget your sandwiches!
To keep in touch for project dates and development, contact Sian on sian.stammers[at]gmail.com or Dave Wood on O77O9977684. Watch this space.
